The time for these guys to get in it has long since passed. It's the primary they need to get into and/or change. Our nominee is decided.

If someone things they can make a difference, great. Get the primary situation changed to take away some of the GOPe power. Or is that too hard? Just running for the sake of running is easier?

This foolishness is going to help 0bama.No it's not. Not really. At least some of the people who will be toilet-flushing their vote live in states that are either secure-red or secure-blue. But even in states that are contested, the number of vote-flushers we're talking about here is just too small to matter.
You call it foolishness, but I think you give it too much credit. I think it's just plain silliness. This whole effort of electing a 3rd party candidate belongs on the weekly silliness thread. 99.9% of the people in America (unfortunately on both sides) realize the futility and idiocy of supporting a 3rd party.
The days of Ross Perot and (unfortunately) Ralph Nader are over.
