A controversy is brewing over whether the United States might break tradition and dip the American flag at the opening ceremony for the London Olympics. However, the American Legion said to do so would not only violate the U.S. Flag Code, but would also be un-American.
Scott Blackmun, the CEO of the United States Olympic Committee, told Reuters they were discussing the matter internally.
Weve talked about that a little bit and you never know what is going to happen, Blackmun told the news agency.
But later a spokesman for the USOC sent Fox News a statement Blackmuns comments and calling the Reuters report not accurate.

Maybe I was misunderstood. I don’t understand why the US would dip their flag to anyone. I don’t recall it ever being done before
It has never been done. It should never be done. 19 out of 20 Americans don’t ever want it done.
Therefore, America’s #1 enemy would desire it be done.
To this day no president who thinks of himself as an American first, foremost and only has ever or will ever bow to any earthly power or potentate.
SO it is good to know we are on the same page.
