I hate to break it to you but the ancient Greeks engaged in man/boy love and saw nothing wrong with it.

And just WHERE are they now??

Corinthians hail from a city in Greece.

Love has nothing to do with homosexual practices. Filth, disease, bodily trauma due to the innate deviancy, well, that's another matter.

I am just the messenger of history here, not someone in favor of it.

Understood. However, ancient Rome teaches us what happens to societies which embrace homosexuality.

All this becuase I stupidly suggested that living in the US, warts and all, would be my preference to living anywhere else in the world in which gays are arrested for PDA.

With some trepidation I will share ... in 1991 my eldest brother passed from AIDS. He took full advantage of everything the 60s had to offer. Sex drugs and rock n roll as it were. A married man himself, as he worked to get his stuff together through the 80s. We don’t know how he contracted the disease. I can’t really apologize for the fact that my experience puts me in a different state of mind than the rest here. I’ll pass on the continued use of phobe/phile as a hammer.

It has been reported a man has a sexual thought every minute or so. Women do not concur with this except in the throes of ‘new love’ sometimes. So it stands to reason another man might be the answer to the frequent choice to have on going sex.
Men believe it is okay to have meaningless sex. Women do not usually find this to be true for them. There are exceptions.
.Some people are wanting to be the center of attention no matter what is needful to achieve this. Who knows what causes people to do dumb, harmful stuff flaunting their upbringing. I.E. Drugs, flamboyant behavior. Satan and satanic influences are the cause at the core.

Addictions of all types are extremely difficult to change. It must come from the person, and be motivated from within. God will help those that desire to drop harmful behaviors. A person must be sincere in desiring to stop harmful behaviors, and be sincere in asking God for forgiveness, repentant, and in truth, seeking to know God, instead of the world and all of its evil enticements.

God blesses those that are seeking to know him and please him

Thank you, Elsie for taking the time to post the Word of God. It is the only truth, politics and personal preferences aside.

Christians are in for a bad time now. The Word will be our armor and our solace.

...because it isn't FAGGOTRY??

With all due respect to both of you, I don't share your "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" view of the world.

I have found it helpful to not only question the beliefs of others with whom I disagree, but also to reflect and question my own reasons for holding the beliefs that I do. Personally, I don't think that your vitriolic reaction really does credit to Free Republic and may be a reason that a number of prominent conservatives seem to avoid associating themselves with us.

I fully support your right to your position on this issue, but I think your point is much more effectively advanced by reason rather than emotional vitriol.

All the best.

Spoken a long time ago...

Sounds pretty REASONABLE to me!!!

2 Timothy 4:3 NIV

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

Would rather live where gays can kiss openly than any of the 3 countries you seem to admire so much.

Regardless your assinine arguments attempting to attribute comments you alone made, your support of faggotry is unwelcome here.

Move along now -maybe DU would be more receptive to such...

It's a new world we live in...

No not really, remember Sodom & Gomorrah? Everything tends to run in cycles -the progress that progressives think they make ALWAYS end is failure...

LMAO -public perversion by disordered individuals is nothing new..

I’ve been to that nation of faith, its called Saudi Arabia.

Try Christianity instead... REGARDLESS your experience with Saudi Arabian homosexuality. Homosexual sex is disordered, unhealthy, and self destructive individually and societally.

The issue of gay marriage is a whole different story and very controversial

P.S. What exactly is "controversial" about not recognizing faggotry as a premise for marriage?

Richard III was executed in the Red Tower of Pontefract castle by the Lords Ordainers with a red-hot poker for his sodomy, and his boyfriend Piers Gaveston was stuffed out a high window of Scarborough Castle.

I’ll ask you, of all the countries in which gay kissing would lead to arrest, which one do you want to raise your sons and daughters in?

Nicely done false dichotomy -- just the way GLAAD teaches their werewolf pupae to do it, when they come trolling on FR.s Inappropriate displays of personal affection/sexual attraction (wanna get technical?) are usually handled, among heterosexual people, by an array of public and private feedback mechanisms.

Gays want zero controls on them, zero feedback, and they test their freedom by deliberately offending the straights -- and then bragging and laughing about it.

That needs correcting. Any suggestions? Or are you cheering them on?
