Even The Boston Globe has come out against the bullying of Chick-fil-A by Boston Mayor Thomas Menino because of the position of Chick-fil-As President and his father (the founder) on marriage:
The president of Chick-fil-A opposes gay marriage. While this view goes against the grain in a state that made history by embracing it, its no reason for Mayor Thomas M. Menino to oppose a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Boston .
Chick-fil-A must follow all state and city laws. If the restaurant chain denied service to gay patrons or refused to hire gay employees, Meninos outrage would be fitting. And the company should be held to its statement that it strives to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation, or gender. But beyond the fact that Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays, the religious beliefs of the companys top executive dont appear to control its operations .
Ironically, Menino is citing the specific location along the Freedom Trail as a reason to block Chick-fil-A. A city in which business owners must pass a political litmus test is the antithesis of what the Freedom Trail represents. History will render judgment on the views of Chick-fil-A executives. City Hall doesnt have to.
Michael Graham (h/t DaTechGuy) points out that Meninos litmus test doesnt apply equally to all religious beliefs, Mayor Menino Donated Tax Dollars To Homophobic Group In Boston!:
This is the Islamic Society of Bostons mosque in Bostons Roxbury neighborhood, a.k.a. Meninos Mosque.
Mayor Menino sold $2 million worth of city property to the ISB for $175,000, despite their well-documented links to Muslim extremism. The mosque teaches a form of Islam that condemns homosexuals to death.

Don’t you like strangled and charred goat burgers?
Ah, Tom, maybe it’s time to rethink your position? Shirley you can find a non-apologetic way of backtracking your statements.
People around the country, if they didn’t know already, will now realize that Menino is an unbelievable ignoramus voted into office by morons.
It’s not even worth asking the question anymore. The answer is always, yes, the left and its associated groups can do anything they want no matter what they say. They can say anything they want even it’s completely opposite to their actions or their prior words. The right will always and without exception be held not only to its own standards but to the standards the left sets for it.
You mean there’s a mayor out there that’s even STUPIDER than Bloomberg?! Scary!;)
The newest Chick Fil-A sandwich:
The Rahm Emanuel: “raw chicken” on nothing, with nothing - no sauce, spices, condiments. Just like Emanuel - TASTELESS
Would be fun to see Chick Fil A sue Menino and Rahm Emmanuel in Federal court for their comments. After all they are elected public officials who’s comments violated the rights of that company and damaged it economically. These mayors violated federal civil rights statutes. Let the depositions and trials begin. Didn’t Rahm Emmanuel say a crisis is a terrible thing to waste?
They can get Jesse Jackson to go back in the kitchen and spit in the white people’s soup like he did when he worked as a waiter at the Jack Tar Hotel in his home town of Greenville, S.C.
Looks like we will be having Chick-fil-A for the week to support there freedom of belief!
That really sounds about most of the voters days, voting the same people
and expecting different results.
And as a thought exercise:
Lets say a city in Texas wanted to deny a Target or JC Penny a zoning permit because they support gay causes? Say the mayor openly said that was the reason. Think they’d be ok with that?
Chicago values.....
The ACLU has come out in support of Chick-Fil-A:
The government can regulate discrimination in employment or against customers, but what the government cannot do is to punish someone for their words, said Adam Schwartz, senior attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois. When an alderman refuses to allow a business to open because its owner has expressed a viewpoint the government disagrees with, the government is practicing viewpoint discrimination.
Other constitutional legal minds state:
Jonathan Turley, a professor at the George Washington University Law School, said Morenos intentions raises serious constitutional concerns.
Wilson Huhn, a professor and associate director of the Constitutional Law Center at The University of Akron School of Law, echoed Turleys stance, saying that a denial on behalf of Moreno regarding a second Chick-fil-A restaurant in Chicagos Logan Square neighborhood would absolutely violate the First Amendment.
It would be an open and shut case, Huhn said. You cant do that. They cannot be denied a zoning permit based upon the viewpoint of their CEO.
This must be why both mayors have walked-back their moronic statements.
This is logical if you are a Zer0 Democrat. love the scum bag gang-bangers
and hateful Muslims like calypso Louie.
Punish the decent and fruitful because they are not voting for you.
Rahm should be thrown out as Mayor but Chicago is too far gone.
The chicago media is all in for farraakhan but hates Chica-fil-a.
Someone needs to educate Rahm and Morono that Muslims detest homo boys.
Homo is as homo does.
SUE the Godfather Rahm and his cronies for all they’re worth!!
The moral high ground is much more pleasant when the people you’re taking it from won’t injure you for it....
Tis expected from a city filled with PAGANS.
This is just part of the plan. Christians are to be mercilessly persecuted and executed in the final days. Its been happening in the ME while over here in America the persecution has significantly been ramped up since 2008, and I’m sure the executions will start within the next decade.
