Tea party leader says all Muslims a ‘threat’ to U.S.; seeks recall of McCain

A prominent Phoenix tea party leader who believes Muslims cannot be trusted to be loyal to the United States and should not be working for the federal government is incensed with U.S. Sen. John McCain’s defense of a top State Department official and is eying a recall drive against Arizona’s senior senator.

Wes Harris, the founder and chairman of the Original North Phoenix Tea Party, said he plans to take out a recall petition against McCain. While Harris has many problems with McCain, a mass email he sent out focused solely on the senator’s recent defense of Huma Abedin, a top aide to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Harris accused Abedin of having ties to an Islamic extremist group, and he objected to the fact that a Muslim was working for the State Department in the first place.

“Have you ever read the Quran? I suggest you do so, because anyone that is a Muslim is a threat to this country, and that’s a fact,” Harris told the Arizona Capitol Times. “There is no such thing as a moderate Muslim. If they are Muslim they have to follow the Quran. That’s their religion and that’s their doctrine.”

Islam is not a religion,
It is a ideology based on world domination masquerading as a religion.
No other religion requires total submission or death.
Islam does.!
ISLAM IS TERRORISM BY IT’S VERY NATURE

“Tea party leader says all Muslims a ‘threat’ to U.S.; seeks recall of McCain”

When Muslims world wide avow allegiance to and agreement with radical Muslim leaders who routinely and publicly announce their plan for the destruction of everything NOT Muslim, how can this guy be wrong?

While I agree 100% with the sentiment, U.S. Senators are not subject to recall under any circumstance.

And A Tea Party member should know this.

Wes Harris, the founder and chairman of the Original North Phoenix Tea Party, said he plans to take out a recall petition against McCain.

>>Arizona Constitution, Article 8: Every public officer in the state of Arizona, holding an elective office, either by election or appointment, is subject to recall from such office by the qualified electors of the electoral district from which candidates are elected to such office. Such electoral district may include the whole state.

A US senator is not an official of the state of Arizona. He is an elected official of the United States. His term of office is settled by the US Constitution, which gives him six years. No state constitution or law can change that.

I disagree that ALL Muslims are a threat to this country.

Having said that, Hillary should have vetted her little girlfriend a bit better and not selected her for the position she currently has. Even if they can't tie her directly to the Muslim Brotherhood, she has close family members who have been. That's enough of a threat to disqualify her for any type of position where she would have access to information that could threaten national security.

Oh how sad the liberals were on 9-11. S/

They wrung their hands, cried, made maudlin speeches and promises. The very moment we began to see what islam is, they cried “profiling” and closed ranks around muslims against their own constituents, but the country as a whole.

It isn’t only muslims that can’t be trusted, it’s liberal democrats that would sell their own children down the river for a vote. It isn’t only McStain that has to go, it is every politician that defends this cult to the detrement of our country, and our lives.

God bless the US Military who are giving all they have to protect not only those who love them, but those that are to gutless to speak the truth.

I hope this gets really interesting. Sen. McCain has gone off the rails again and I fear he is becoming a little out of touch.

... and this is a mere requote of what muslims tell us all the time, that it is their doctrine to destroy the US as we know it and impose Islam... but we keep acting stupid.

"....A US senator is not an official of the state of Arizona. He is an elected official of the United States...."

What a crock of s--t.............

That jackass is not elected as an at-large representative of America you nincompoop. He doesn't represent the people of these united States of America. He represents the citizens of Arizona. He is a two-bit elected blowhard from the State of Arizona.

They want it both ways. They want to be campaigning as Senators, not as equal candidate to anyone challenging their decisions... and, besides, they are unprofessional and political in all they do, so McCain and the establishment are fair game cowards.

Before you start the next time you should be certain of the facts.

Fact is McCain IS a representative of the US at large and is not subject to recall at all, nor to any state laws to the contrary.

While I do not like the amendment that makes this so, it is law and he doesn't have to do squat for Arizona if he chooses not to.

17th Amendment, US Constitution: “The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years”

Please show me where the Constitution makes allowance for the people of the state to recall their senator, thereby reducing his term from the prescribed six years.

The Arizona Constitution, in its provision for recall, states that they apply to “elected officials in the State of Arizona.” A senator or congressmen is not an elected offial in the state of Arizona, he is an elected official of the US government. Federal constitution and law applies, not state law.

BTW, what does it say about the intelligence and character of a person whose very first response to someone who disagrees is to (try to) insult him?
