Yes, I meant your older dog. Sounds as if you’re handling the problem well.

Things are still cooking along all right here. My Rocket is still with us, and since Hubby started feeding raw ground chicken and turkey, he has actually started putting on a bit of weight again! Chronic renal failure, and he’s still going on. We really don’t expect him to live for years, but we’re grateful for every day that he remains with us.

A change in diet can make a real difference in the quality and duration of our pet's lives. Before our oldest dog passed away in June, along with his regular food we were giving him canned salmon, sardines, cheese, broccoli florets, green beans and leftover steak and chicken to entice him to eat. I think it prolonged his life and helped the quality of his life as well.

Your Rocket is very fortunate to have found a home with you and your husband.
