Three masked men allegedly broke into a 33-year-old lesbian womans home, bound her arms and carved anti-gay slurs into her arms and abdomen.
A vigil was held in support of the woman who was allegedly attacked for her sexual orientation.
A 33-year-old Nebraska woman said three masked intruders tied her up, carved homophobic slurs into her skin and then set her house on fire in a shocking case that police are reportedly classifying as a hate crime.
A spokeswoman for the Lincoln Police Department told CNN on Monday investigators found a derogatory slur used against lesbians spray painted inside her home following the attack early Sunday morning.
The woman, an open homosexual who was not identified in local reports, made her way to a neighbors home after her assailants left. She called police around 4 a.m. I was in shock, neighbor Linda Rappl told CNN. She was naked, her hands were tied with zip ties. All I could see was a cut across her forehead and blood running down.
The woman told police three men wearing ski masks broke into her home and bound her hands, the Omaha World-Herald reported. The men also reportedly used a knife to cut the gay slurs into her skin and then doused her home with gasoline to start the blaze.

My thoughts also. If true, the criminals committed a violent crime and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, regardless of the alleged “hate” motivation. If false, she’s guilty of filing a false official report with the police and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Let’s move on with life instead of wallowing in mostly invented stories of victimization.
Attention whore alert.
Exactly what I thought.
The truth, when it is finally determined, will not be so widely reported. As usual.
“Sounds fishy.”
Smells fishy too.
I’m on the hoax bandwagon, for now.
Exactly. Why go to all that trouble just to leave her alive to tell the tale? It doesn't add up.
The lesbians resent that fishy crack, they claim the lickydesplit is smell free zone.
I predict she will be shown to be a fraud and the DA will decline prosecution!!
The smell of the BS is strong with this one.
Smells like rancid salmon.
No mention that she was taken to a hospital for treatment; even for stitches.
The comments in the Daily News seem evenly split between those who believe it happened, and those who think like we do that it likely was a hoax. The Daily News readership is mostly NYC leftists.
Seriously, why do you post here if you have such low regard for FReepers? I don't see anything in the comments to justify such a statement. Rather, there is suspicion based on previous incidents.
“Sounds fishy.”
Likely fishy to the other senses as well.
I was just thinking one other person.
Then I read she “freed” herself and made it over to a neighbor’s house, this is all just her saying it, and now I think it was just her alone who did it.
I was thinking the same thing.
Yep. They hated her enough to cut her up and burn her house down, but not enough to rape her. Right.
I could buy the first two - there are plenty of sickos out there - but without the 3rd, it doesn't make sense.
Well, yeah, it does seem so, and this sort of points to her alone as well: ( I had actually thought a huge blaze had been set to the house)
“City fire Inspector Damon Robbins said a match flame ignited vapors from a pool of gasoline on the woman’s floor, but the flash fire did not continue to burn and caused no noticeable damage to the house.”
Self inflicted or staged.
FYI, from personal experience and under the right conditions lesbians can be a heck if a lot of fun:)
Probably a bisexual drug snorting dike who was not paying her drug fees cuz she felt special, and the gang went on her and knew she had preferencialist dike mindset and wanted to show her she was not special.
It’s a turf war between gay hippies and gangstas for pimp and drug territory.
