[ Great achievements and it appears among her many firsts, she was the first gay astronaut. ]
Even if she was Gay if she had been all in your face about it we would have heard nothing BUT that fact about it from the LGBTQ alphabet soup people 24/7 all the freeking time...
In fact if it was just a barely mentioned footnote and she didn’t spew it all over the place and lead “pride” marches this make me appreciate her even more.
So the real question isn’t: “Was she Gay” the REAL question is: “Did she use being Gay to push the Gay agenda down everyone’s throats?”
If the answer to the second question is NO, then I respect her for her time in space as the first female astronaut even more!
Despite all of the arguments one can get into over Ride being gay, and if she kept it to herself then so much the better, but it doesn’t change what is a matter of statistical relevance.
Another gay person has died at too young of an age. She will be included in that set of statistics that says that gay males die some 20 years before their American male peers and that gay females die some 10 years before their peers. The gay community hates that research, besmirches it every chance they get, but it is what it is.
I notice it when another gay person meets the criteria.
The epitaph should include these words: Dead at too Young an Age...Sally Ride.
Yeah, she was the first US female to go up in space, but she apparently played the politics better than the other female TFNG(s?) at the time.
RIP
