Why should it be a negative if in fact she was gay? It matters not the least to me. I just found it interesting when they listed her suvivors they mentioned her partner of 27 years along with her family members.

They may have just been business partners or more than that. You are the one with a problem.

It’s funny how people on these thread wish that gays would shut up about their lives, but none of us ever remember Sally mentioning it about herself and now some idiot decides to bring it up.

It was in the announcement of her death that she was survived by this woman "partner."

I'm sorry you can't handle the facts.

You were angry about the posting on Sally Ride being gay. True, it’s irrelevant if you look at it from a secular worldview. However, unless we know Sally Ride personally and know for sure that she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior before she died, we’ll never know if she’s resting in peace. If we don’t know, then we can’t be sure. It’s too late to pray for Sally’s soul, regardless of what decision she made. The only thing we can do now is pray that her family and her “accomplished partner” will find peace thru salvation in Jesus Christ. It’s not too late for them. While we can all acknowledge Ms. Ride’s tremendous accomplishments and marvel at their impact, and feel that the world is a better place because of her achievements, it counts for absolutely nothing if she left this world without accepting Christ as her Savior and is now standing before a holy God for judgement. God is not juging her for being gay. God is judging her because she did not accept His gracious gift of salvation through his Son, Jesus Christ. He wants us to come to Him as we are, scales and all. I am so sorry if you are offended by what I’ve said, but I’ll never apologize for giving the gospel. I will always seize every opportunity to share the message of eternal life thru faith in Christ. God bless.
