Actually I believe that the guy was both. And I also believe that both played into the abuse of the caller.

To me, the issue is simple. If the homosexuals believe that the public at large wants homosexuals in the scouting, they can start up their own operation instead of high-jacking an existing one. Heck, they can afford to spring for fabulous uniforms and gear, too, and waive all fees.

According to an essentially pro-homosexual (i.e. "anti-discrimination") course I took to be certified to work with kids, a homosexual male is 5 times as likely as a random male to abuse children. As I recall, the figure, which was undoubtedly weighted so as to make homos look less bad, was 4 percent of men at large, vs. 20 percent of homosexual men.
In a related example, a friend in the entertainment industry was discussing homosexual adoption with a colleague. He was a homosexual himself. His response was, "Homosexuals adopting children? Are they CRAZY?"

I, for one, have no problem with homosexuality and pedophilia being all lumped together in a list of deviances from which to protect children.
Our sons will be old enough to join the Boy Scouts in a few years. And what bothers me about the prospect of gay leaders is not so much that my sons might be molested (though of course that concerns me deeply). What I see as a more immediate and hard to fight danger is simply holding someone with obvious homosexual tendencies up to boys as a “leader” and someone to emulate. Here in California, I see young men all the time who are not gay ... but who ACT like the biggest queers on the planet. They have picked up these queer mannerisms as being somehow cool, and I swear I meet young men all the time who lisp, posture and generally act like queens. Yet they are shacking up with young women, etc., so if they are indeed gay it’s only part-time. I am forced to conclude that a very gay-friendly culture, like we have here in CA, promotes the posturing that we see in the gay culture. I DO NOT want my boys picking that up as being “cool.”
