Mike Huckabee on his radio show last week told his audience and one caller in particular that the Boy Scouts decision to continue its ban on homosexuals was the right because it protects boy scouts from sexual abuse. The assumption Huckabee is clearly making is all gay people are pedophiles, or a large percentage of gay people are pedophiles.
A caller into Huckabees radio show says he was molested by his scout leader for three years, adding, if there hadnt have been a homosexual in my troop, I wouldnt have been traumatized for about three years. Of course, Huckabee ignored the fact hat the mans abuser was actually a pedophile, not a homosexual, based on his actions. Huckabee also ignores mountains of evidence that shows that pedophilia and homosexuality are different things, and gay people are no more likely to be child molesters than straight people.
Huckabee then says that the scout leader of his troop when he was a boy had done the same thing to some of the kids in the scout troop. Therefore, Huckabee believes, all gays are pedophiles.

Anyone can wear the uniform.
Research has shown that given the low percentage of homosexuals in this country they account for a far larger share of the child sexual abuse than their numbers should indicate.
The only conclusion is that children are more likely to be sexually abused by homosexuals.

Thanks, what I meant to say is that I was looking for the policy on how to report known homosexuals in the BSA.
I did some searching when a local politician who was publicly gay listed scoutmaster on his resume.
So far as I can tell, nothing on the scout leadership form explicitly asks the question about sexuality. It does require a signature affirming you will follow the policies, and the policies is no gays, but if you are willing to lie, and nobody reports you, the BSA appears to take a “don’t ask, don’t tell” approach.
Kind of frustrating isn’t it? They tap dance around the topic using words like “morals”, “character”, etc. Yet, for the queers, those traits are interpreted differently. “Those words, they do not mean what you think they mean.”
From the adult application:
Leadership Requirements
The applicant must possess the moral, educational, and emotional qualities that the Boy Scouts of America deems necessary to afford positive leadership to youth. The applicant must also be the correct age, subscribe to the precepts of the Declaration of Religious Principle, and abide by the Scout Oath or Promise, and the Scout Law.
Question 6e. on the application:
Other than the above, is there any
fact or circumstance involving you
or your background that would call
into question your being entrusted
with the supervision, guidance, and
care of young people?
So, yes, I do believe they are exercising the DADT approach and only act when forced to.
