Henson died of organ failure due to Strep A....responsible for things like strep throat and rheumatic fever....this is not pneumocystis which is associated with AIDS
No...Henson died from the bacteria that causes strep throat. He didn’t go to a hospital until it was too late, likely due to his Christian Science upbringing. He was never gay or an itravenous drug user. He did NOT die of HIV infection.
A lot of people have bacterial pnuemonia that aren't HIV.
He died of pneumonia.
My memory is that Jim Henson died of a virulent blood infection after refusing for days to get medical help because he was a member of the Christian Science Church. It was too late when he did go for medical help. This sticks in my mind because I took sick one evening at our mountain house with terrible shakes. My wife insisted we go home without any delay. Reaching home I passed out and my son and wife drove me to the emergency at a hospital a few blocks from our home. At the hospital I was given some shots which I later learned were a number of antibiotics. I woke up in the hospital where I stayed seven days, What is so intriguing is that when I woke up in the hospital the doctor told me that I had a blood disease like Jim Hensen who died the previous day. It took me six months to get back to anywhere near my previous health. Since then I have to be very careful about getting any blood infections.

Henson was married and had kids. He died from a really nasty lung infection, that reached that state because he left it untreated. It wasn’t just pneumonia; he had something resembling scarlet fever.
