There is a difference between keeping some information from the public due to an ongoing investigation, and “sealing” all information.

Secret investigations, which is what this amounts to now, indicates a possibility of scrubbing government culpability.

There is a difference between keeping some information from the public due to an ongoing investigation, and “sealing” all information.

Legally speaking, once information has come into the public record (search warrants, etc), the only way to keep that information from the public is often to have the record sealed. Since Holmes is being arraigned tomorrow, sealing this information is likely the only way to keep it from the public (and thus from any other suspects).

The Obama administration IS culpable in this case, just as it is in the Fast and Furious operation. They approved his gun purchase applications 4 straight times!
