As I posted on another thread, its pretty simple when you just look at which came first: Fords car (and those of other early automakers preceded roads, especially paved roads; the Wrights airplane preceded airports; steamships preceded canals; and the PC-which made the Internet possible-preceded the Internet. Indeed, each critical element of the Internet, including Bells modem, Andreassons Netscape, Hewlett Packards microprocessor; all made the Internet actually work commercially.
