I read this earlier today, and it sickened me. This actually struck me worse than the shooting did. This is a textbook case of the evils of cohabitation. If the man won't commit to you in marriage, then why would you expect him to commit when it really mattered.

Our society has gone to hell. The chickens have come home to roost. The social norms that liberals have been pushing on us for over half a century now are destroying the very fiber of our existence.

Who did he put down? How did he get out- when he "could not go back in to get him"? Did he just leave his child and run?

He jumped over the balcony AFTER he realized he couldn't go back in to get him? This author needs to go back to 'journalism' school.
