Exclusive: Contra ABC News, Dark Knight Shooting Suspect James Holmes Could Be Registered Democrat

James Holmes, the suspect arrested in connection with the mass shootings at a screening of the new Batman movie early this morning in Aurora, CO, could be a registered Democrat, according to documents obtained by Breitbart News. Earlier, ABC News' Brian Ross and George Stephanopoulos speculated on Good Morning America that Holmes was a Tea Party member, based solely on a name appearing on a Tea Party website.

The James Holmes for whom Breitbart News has obtained documentation is 25 years old (the suspect has been reported as 24 years old). He has links to addresses in both Colorado and San Diego, where his mother has been reported to be from, according to news reports. He was issued a traffic citation in 2011--his sole run-in with the law. The same is true for the suspect arrested in connection with the shootings, according to reports. Update: Fox News reports that the suspect has a California-issued social security number, as does the man in the documents obtained by Breitbart News--a significant correlation, assuming the sources are independent.

I’m sure the media will now be looking into every aspect of the wrongly accused James Holmes’ life (parking tickets, late bill payments, etc.) for having the audacity to belong to the Tea Party and making a journalist look bad.

I think it’s a shame that we conservatives and 2nd amendment supporters need to be searching for the background of these nuts each time an incident like this happens.

A Denver television station reports they have spoken to his mother in San Diego. She says her son recently moved to Colorado to pursue a Ph.D.

The motivation of the shooter does matter.

I'd wager the shooter is someone who recently began showing symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia.

In which case, his motivations are irrelevant, as are his politics, opinions or those of his parents prior to the schizophrenic break.

People were upset that ABC news was saying the kid could have been a Tea Partier and now we are doing the same thing.

ABC tries to hang the shooting around the neck of the Tea Party and Breitbart goes out and finds out the nutter may actually be registered as a Democrat. In what universe is it wrong for Breitbart to report actual facts that contradict the propaganda being put out by ABC? Or maybe you just think it is wrong because you believe Americans are too stupid to understand why Breitbart is doing what it is doing?

However, the media, Obama administration will tie the guy’s motivation to a group of political enemies - perferably the Tea Party. The same enemies Obama has classified as domestic terrorists - you and me.
