Everyone knew Iraq used chemical weapons versus Iran and the Kurds but Reagan and the next two presidents all saw no significant threat to the US from them. Thanks to Bush's blunder, chemical weapons are now on the verge of falling into the hands of a terrorist-oriented vehicle of militant Islam instead of in Saddam Hussein's hands providing a check to his Iranian enemies.
I wonder if Amadinejad ever feels like giving Bush a medal in reward for his valuable services in behalf of Iran.
