Because they left the home for 8 months? I have several friends who only one of their homes a month or two a year.
They didn’t abandon it and the squatters have stolen the home with no legal or lawful right to possession .
This may be old-school of me, but I always expected to be out of a house if I haven’t made a payment in eight months (I think it was longer, but that’s not important).
I like the summation by the poster a few posts up. We have somebody who hasn’t been paying their mortgage trying to evict some who’s not paying rent.
