U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez and top New Jersey Democrats sought today to cast his political opponent as an enemy to women. They said state Sen. Joe Kyrillos, a Republican who is seeking to unseat Menendez in November, has a record of voting against the interests of women. “That fact of the matter is, on all of the issues that matter most to the women of New Jersey, state Sen. Joe Kyrillos has been on the wrong side,” state Sen. Barbara Buono said at a campaign rally held in a Union City daycare center. “For every stride Sen. Menendez has made to uplift and support women in New Jersey and across the nation, Sen. Kyrillos and his allies took a step — a leap — backward.” If the Republican and his allies could, Buono jabbed, they’d “turn back the clock” until today looked like an episode of the 1960s-era drama “Mad Men.” The Kyrillos campaign promptly fired back, attempting to link Menendez policies to the poor economy, federal borrowing and other issues that, they say, are real problems for women.

Typical far left extremist claiming to be mainstream. Claims he represents NJ values. When running for the House in Spring of 1992 he told me was a Progressive, he knew I did not know what that was. I asked if he was a liberal.
