O doesn’t love this country... because he has no ties.

I wondered about his citizenship and if he would renounce it if he lost the next election.

I came across expatriate numbers that are telling (May 2012).

Of course it’s the rich guys fault and not O’s lack of economic sense. Still, it’s telling.

First line: Approximately 1,780 expatriates renounced their U.S. citizenship in 2011, up from 235 in 2008.

Another Obama win.

Interesting post on that link:

"I am by no means wealthy - I cannot and likely never will be able to afford a single-family home in the Vancouver area. The Patriot Act makes international banking difficult, and I will have spent over 50 hours doing my Canadian and US taxes this year. All to send the US government a couple of thousand dollars they will hand over to a very undeserving entitled individual (who ironically may not even *be* a citizen)."

Rush mentioned that Obama's inner circle is filled with felons and it reminded me of the Notable and Quotable column in the WSJ, from last Thursday.

From "The Discourse of Voluntary Servitude" (circa 1552) by French political philosopher Étienne de La Boétie:

In short, when the point is reached, through big favors or little ones, that large profits or small are obtained under a tyrant, there are found almost as many people to whom tyranny seems advantageous as those to whom liberty would seem desirable.

…Even so, whenever a ruler makes himself a dictator, all the wicked dregs of the nation—I do not mean the pack of petty thieves and earless ruffians who, in a republic, are unimportant in evil or good—but all those who are corrupted by burning ambition or extraordinary avarice, these gather around him and support him in order to have a share in the booty and to constitute themselves petty chiefs under the big tyrant.
