Why has the Obama team been publicly wailing about losing out to Mitt Romney in the money race? Why would the president accuse his opponent of not merely being wrong or unqualified but criminal? After all, the polls are tied, so why so much worry in Obamaland?
...
The Associated Press reports: President Barack Obamas campaign has spent nearly $100 million on television commercials in selected battleground states so far, unleashing a sustained early barrage designed to create lasting, negative impressions of Republican Mitt Romney before he and his allies ramp up for the fall. Think of it like the Confederacys artillery barrage on the third day of Gettysburg before Picketts charge you have to in essence disable the other side before the charge begins or its curtains.
Virtually all of the ads were viciously negative, and judging from the number of Pinocchios theyve racked up, continually and materially false.
But it didnt work. Romney and Obama are still deadlocked.
...
Its not too early to say that Obamas vital signs look dicey. Over the past 33 months, his job approval has been lower than George W. Bushs at a comparable time in his presidency for all but one week. Bush averaged above 50 percent in the quarter before his successful reelection campaign, while Obama has been stuck in the 46-48 percent range for months. And the famous wrong track measure now stands at 63 percent, versus 55 percent in the days preceding the vote in 2004. If these two numbers dont improve for Obama, his presidency will be in jeopardy. And they probably wont unless the economy perks up noticeably.

5) The trend of elections beginning in 2009 (Virginia & New Jersey) and continuing in 2010 (massive change in state governments) and to this day (NC, [WV, KY, & AR Dim primaries], and most importantly WI) are definitely not Barry’s friend.
Caught a few minutes of a Fox program today (Pat Caddell and others) who seemed to think Obama's attacks on Romney over Bain would do Romney a lot of damage. Obama is a target-rich environment--the Romney campaign needs to educate the public on all the scandals the mainstream media is trying to keep hidden, and make people aware of the stakes.
Yes but what WaPoo isn't comparing is the treatment Bush and 0Dumbo got in the lamestream press. Bush was savaged by not only the news, but by the pigs in Hollywood on a continuous basis , while the press and Hollywood act like stenographers and fundraisers for the White Hut.
This is not a nationwide race. I live in the blessed conservative state of Oklahoma. One huge blessing is that the One will lose so big here that we hear very few ads for 0bama or Romney.

Truth is if you add in the superpac money, Romney and his superpacs have outspent Obama and his 150m to 115m. The difference is almost none of it has been spent by the Romney campaign itself, while Obama has spent 100m of his campaign funds. That's because they are still spending primary money. Obama has a lot left, Romney spent his. But the Romney superpacs are blowing away Obama's, at least for now.
I pray you're wrong. Part of me wants to believe that this is a strategy designed to make Hussein waste money during the summer when nobody pays attention.
If only a small percentage of the $800 billion stimulus went into Obama's stash, he'll still have plenty to spend on this election.
I think the tax records deal is a ploy by Romney.
He will release them later, perhaps announcing the release at the first debate. That would be a good plan, stand there on stage with the country watching and then demand Zero release all the records he is hiding.
Only thing that puzzles me is the fact that the IRS has undoubtedly already sent the Romney tax records to Obama.
So if there is nothing scandalous in them they must know this is a setup by Romney!? It’s possible that being socialists they think the fact that he made big profits should be considered scandalous...that won’t fly with the non-communist voting majority.
another right on point, and you even left out Assachussettes in Jan, 2010 to replace Kennedy....
No, it's to keep Bobo from flooding the zone with tax code no one understands (well, I do) and avoid talking about the economy.
I saw Mitt punch back here in VA. Good response ad w/Hillary scolding Zer0.
Agreed, but Bush also never ever defended himself. He looked and acted like a wuss.
“Compassionate Conservative” my arse!
Yes , but that aside, Barry's numbers suck and he doesn't even need to defend himself because
A) He looks like a wuss already
B) the press is carrying water for him.
You mean her:
Uber RINO Lindsey Ping
"Republican by day, Democrat by night."
Want on or off this ping list?
Just FReepmail me.

You left out the millions of stupid members of my own sex ...women ... who I think did more than any other group to get their king elected. That's the group we need to get turned around .. yet I can't seem to turn even my own happy little commie sister, even if I tell her she ought to go live in Cuba cuz she'd love it there. I'm over 70 and still can't believe the idiocy I see in other women!
I don't think it was white males so much - I don't know any who voted for him. But maybe I just know the right white males - due to having given birth to the ones I know best.
That's hilarious.
agree with you about white women but:
“Men
The male vote was essentially tied with 49% voting for Obama, thus evening the score on the male-heavy Republican advantage in 2004.
41% of white males voted for Obama, making him the first Democrat since Jimmy Carter to take more than 38% in this category.”
Wow, I hadn’t realized that - thanks. Let’s pray that the worm turns in both cases.
