I am in total agreement. I am not happy about voting for “lesser of 2 evils”, however, if we manage to get this President out of the WH and gain back the Senate and keep the House, we will be forcing the Republican candidate to pivot further to the right. Nothing is a guarantee here.
Romney must be forced “By the People” to move to the Right of center. We then can keep him in check and hopefully in the time he is in office, new stars will take hold and rise up. Alan West, Rubio, etc.
In doing this, we will save babies and the elderly from being abused by the system that is about to take hold, Obamacare.
There is so much at stake here and to think that we are all fighting over this election with the candidate for the Repubs instead of taking out the main target, well let’s just say, I am having a hard time sleeping over this.
I have nothing against being a purist mind you, but our liberties will never come back to us if this President gets 4 more to solidify his agenda. God knows that I have made peace with him, and to save those I can right in this moment, I will vote for Romney. But rest will never happen in my lifetime again, for my eyes will never be shut to who ever is in power.
I suggest we all take a deep breath and remember who and what we are fighting for. For me it is my grandkids and a Downs Syndrome Niece, who if the health care is inacted will never reach a ripe old age for she will be of no service to the country.
To all those purists and patriots that are fed up and standing their ground, I respect you, but I pray that what you are doing is really what is good for the country. As this post has really been too emotional for me to say, please respect that this is MHO. Not looking for a fight, just laying out my thoughts.

I completely agree with your sentiments above. The only MORAL thing to do is vote for as much good as we can get and for as less evil as we can. As I said, you can see from the negative responses to my post that they are hopeless in trying to get them to see reason. They believe Romney is the greater evil and that if you disagree, you are also evil and in league with the devil.
This reminds me of when Idaho tried to pass an abortion law back in the early 1990’s that would have limited it (abortion) to only in cases of rape, incest, or life/death of the mother. This basically would have put abortion back to what it was prior to Roe v. Wade. The whole country was interested in the vote.
The National Right to Life endorsed it as well as many other pro-life groups, however, several Idaho state pro-life groups opposed it because it allowed abortion for rape, incest, and life/death of mother. Even though the law would have restricted abortion 95% of what it was previously, these groups not only opposed the law, they actively worked against it. The vote was very close but it lost and abortion continued at its full 100% kill rate.
They simply refused to compromise AT ALL because they didn’t get 100% restrictions against abortion. I am not for aborting rape babies or incest babies, but if I can get 95% of abortions stopped I will go for that and work on the others in the future.
If Obama wins the country as we know it, I fear, will be lost forever. Some of these people think a civil war will fix our problems, but the problem with that (aside from sheer insanity) is that once something like that happens there is no guaranteeing what we will end up with.
