"I think that Condoleezza Rice would be a wonderful vice president and she certainly has much more experience than our sitting president," former Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) said when asked for her reaction to news that Rice is near the top of Romney's list for VP.
Palin is asked by host of "On the Record" Greta van Susteren what she thought about Rice being "moderately pro-choice."
Palin tells host of "On the Record" Greta van Susteren that she would prefer a pro-life vice presidential candidate, however she says ultimately the power to legislate abortion does not lie with the vice president.

I had to listen to the video again to make sure that I didn't miss something. One could certainly consider what Palin said as "damning with faint praise", when she simply points out that Condi is more qualified than Obama and then Palin stops, without offering anything further.
I’m open to the argument that some Freepers are brainwashing themselves with those things. I’m not sure at this point it’s Palin supporters, though.
Yes, it is a fake story, just like everything else that Drudge tries to drum up to reclaim the glory of 1998.
One man, one moment in the sun I guess.
As a student of a Catholic high school, the Sisters of Loretta taught me, I am pleased to be at an institution of higher education with such strong and celebrated Catholic and Jesuit traditions . . . You see, I got my Master's Degree at Notre Dame. (Boos.) I acquired a passion for the fighting Irish . . . and my family has been college educated and Presbyterian ever since. (Laughter and applause.) . . . I wandered into a course on international politics taught by a Czech refugee who specialized in Soviet studies, a man who had a daughter by the name of Madeleine Albright. With that one class, I was hooked. I discovered that my passion was Russia and all things Russian.
There are better choices out there! Hundreds of them really! Condi would be better in another role. Anyone linked to Bush should be Toxic. This goes for Jeb as well.
Unless something happens to the president, then the VP is the leader of the free world.
I’m willing to listen to any argument that is intelligently offered. However, crude insults presented as arguments are not convincing.
Condi brings nothing to the ticket. Bush the Younger got a second term because Rove sent people into the Black churches in Ohio talking about Kerrys support for killing babies, and gay marriage. Bushs increase in Black votes was greater than the margin he won by in Ohio. If he lost Ohio, Florida didnt matter. So, Black Christians gave Bush his second term.
Black Christians are disappointed with Obama over these things as well as amnesty for aliens who have destroyed jobs Blacks used to use to move into the middle class. Condi is pro-abortion, pro-amnesty, and anti-Israel. Why would Black Christians switch to her?
Her anti-Israel views will also reverse the momentum Republicans have in the Jewish community. Why should Jews switch from one anti-Israel politician to another?
Add to these facts the white Christians who will stay home or vote third party and it makes no sense to pick Condi or anyone like her.
Lee Atwater once told me; You cant out Democrat a Democrat. You have to offer a stark contrast. Thats what Mitt needs in a VP; a solid conservative who stands in stark contrast to Obama and Biden.
Sarah wasn’t close to being a RINO. She was simply out of place running with liberal-climber-McCain as a conservative, and totally unprepared for a national run in today’s climate.
Look at how we treat “noobs”. Palin got buckets worse.
However, she is learning the worst of politics—now blurring the hard lines between arch conservatives and moderates, which is required to survive in the game.
It’s called “broadening your base”.
Palin’s own base is in a lock box, so she figures she can move out to deeper waters and say that a pro-abort would “would make a ‘wonderful’ vice president”, because the pro abort has more “experience”.
I don’t like it much, either, that’s for sure, even with the caveats she mentioned, wanting two prolifers on the ticket.
“Wonderful” is just the wrong word among most conservatives.
Sarabots explaining away...just like when she endorsed McCain.
Of course she is taken out of context. After viewing the video, it was more of a slap at Obama and Biteme than anything else.
Those that put Romney are going to have eight more years of expressing shock and outrage at how he has sold us out, whining that his Presidency has lead to another Democratic takeover of Congress and the White House and empty threats of holding the Republican establishment's feet to the fire.
But, some, apparently, will never learn that it takes a conservative in the White House to move the country to the right and that country will continue to drift toward the left every time a RINO is elected.
Charlie Brown. Lucy. And, the football.
Et tu, Sarah?
And, if Rush is willing to put someone in the White House with a record to the left of Bill Clinton and that has no character, he left me, I didn't leave him. Rush was right back in 1992 when he said character matters. He was also right back several years ago, when he said a tiger is a tiger and no amount of training will change the true nature of a tiger. Mitt Romney is what he is, too -- someone with either liberal political views or someone that governs out of political expediency. Either way, he will be disaster for both the conservative movement and Republican party.
Kudos to Jim Robinson for being the only prominent conservative willing to draw a line in the sand and refuse to vote for a liberal like Romney just because he has an R after his name.
