In a pleasantly meandering conversation over lunch in San Francisco last summer, Condoleezza Rice, then still provost of Stanford but already unofficially what she now is officially, George W. Bush's senior foreign policy adviser, was asked her thoughts about gun control.

"I am," she answered crisply, "a Second Amendment absolutist."

Southern Democrats were the first to implement Gun Control as a means of disarming the Black Population so they could not defend themselves from the Klan.

Not to change the subject, but today I heard Rush discussing the founding of the NAACP. It was founded by Wealthy White Republicans to organize Blacks against the Democrat Party's introduction and support of Jim Crow Laws. The first President of the NAACP was a White Republican.
