To: QT3.14

How much extra water will it waste to flush the five times a day or so that everyone needs to do a #1 with a #2 quantity of water which generally is only done once a day?

That’s not much of a concern since Carriers make their own fresh water out of seawater.

Doesn’t matter, US Navy ships use salt water for flushing(got ALOT of that).

There was a piece on the Reagan awhile ago. It uses vacuum flush instead of water and it is a disaster.

There are two vacuum pumps (port and starboard) and they were nonfunctional more than not. The crewmembers were suffering from UTIs and kidney problems because they had to hold it too long due to down equipment.

On a single gender ship (in the good old days) you cold hang it over the side or ...go to the poop deck.
