raised in pretty much the same environment, so here’s the deal, teach your kids to research options carefully, teach them to look carefully into the future. My kids know this becuase I preach it daily. Also, never trust the government! My kids know this too, LOL!

“Children should be educated to the degree they are educable.”

To be fair about it he did go on to say that the audience was so clean and articulate that he was sure their children were highly educable.

That’s about the first, and probably the only time, I’ll actually agree with Biden the Slow. Some kids aren’t a fit for college curricula, so encourage them to look to learning trade skills.

Somebody wanna ask Ol’Joe how we know when enough is enough? Wouldn’t want to waste any resources on educational overkill——pretty much the same as being promoted to the level of inopmpetence. In Joe’s case his brain bun spent way more time in the school’s oven than he was good for. He should have stuck with a nice manual labor career since his adult work product sure as bleep doesn’t justify anything past eighth grade.

Thank you! A couple years ago, I wrote a parody to the Irish pub song, “Rosin The Bow,” titled “Biden the Slow.” I`ll have to go and find it.

I am a Adult Education/GED instructor. I’ve seen and heard a lot of sad stories from my students. The one that moved me the most was a young man who came to me to help him because he hadn’t passed the ASVAB exam to enter the military. He had a diploma from a public high school and a 2 year certificate from the vocational/technical school.

As I tried to help him with the questions, it became apparent that he could not answer the questions because he could not read the questions.

This young man wanted to enter the Army. This should be an achievable goal for any average high school graduate. The fact that he was GIVEN his diploma and certificate without the necessary education, he cannot not achieve this goal and his dream of being a soldier cannot come true. So, so sad.

And here Romney was chided for being “demeaning.” The real issue was he was talking wayyyy over their heads.

Biden’s just trying — and doing a good job I might add — of shoring up his position which is primarily to make Obama appear competent in comparison.

Some kids aren’t a fit for college curricula, so encourage them to look to learning trade skills.

But who decides which kids are "fit" and which ones aren't? We still have a choice in this country. I tell my kids "If you want something bad enough...work hard and strive!" This doesn't mean we need to continue lowering the bar so everyone can get what they want - but no one should be turned down from an education they seek and can afford just because some bureaucrats think that they aren't fit for college.
If they try and fail let it be on their own merit, not someone else's arbitrary decision.

BTW, I may have read too much into what you said, but this whole concept of us getting to some sort of “outcome-based education” is actually frightening.

(See “Gattaca” - Read “None Dare Call it Education”.)

I haven’t read all of the posts, so I apologize if someone has already mentioned this, but the left continues to lampoon Dan Quayle to this day.

I would love to see a book written highlighting Biden’s verbal gaffes. It would probably be a multi-volume set.

Of course since he’s a lapdog democrat, the media, the entertainment industry et. al. would never call him out.

dead wrote “- What he’s trying to say in Bidenspeak is that he, and other white liberals, don’t really expect the same results from black people that they expect from white people.”

Someone should let them know that when taxpayer money dries up(as it is close to doing)they will have the choice of whether to work or starve. That also applies to welfare bums and all the extra genres of “ mentally disabled” that Liberals have come up with. I get tired of going to the grocery and buying hamburger while watching those I know to be pillheads and alcoholics pile in the steaks. However, I would eat a steady diet of Ramen before I would stoop to the level of some of these jerks and I would be proud of it.
