Maybe I'm not the only one wanting to read it now...
In my opinion........this will just be a reason for many to continue to attack the late Joe Paterno. In our society, we always need to find a “reason” why criminals do what they do. Jerry Sandusky is going to spend the rest of his life in prison. He’s the criminal. Many need to be able to point a finger at someone and say, see! it’s his or her fault for the criminal.
I wonder why the PAG is involved in that way...
Those who knew that Sandusky was molesting children in Penn State buildings and did nothing to stop him are guilty as well.
I don't care about the "reason" why Sandusky did what he did.
If it had been one incident, it's all on the perp, and be done with it.
I DO care about the reason why JoePa and others let it go on and on and on. When it happens over and over and over, then it's NOT just the perp, it's a lot of enablers involved, too.
And if you lock up Sandusky and change nothing else, then nothing will have changed.
Hopefully, the forthcoming lawsuits will bankrupt Pedd State and its football program shut down permanently.

Tell me there are not other criminals there.
Who knew? You’re sure that someone knew? Mike McCreary supposedly saw something, told his father......not the police. Did Jerry Sandusky’s wife know? What about the charity he was involved in? Did the children tell their parents? They knew?
Jerry Sandusky is the guilty one here. He’s going to prison, most likely for the rest of his life. The children are going to sue the deep pockets of someone, most likely the University, which will pass along the costs to future students.
Like I said, in our society, for some unknown reason, there’s always a need to blame someone OTHER than the criminal. Could he have been stopped? I don’t know. Could his wife have stopped him? His adopted son now claims that he was molested, too. Did the rest of his family know? His close friends? The people at the charity?
Joe Paterno is dead and buried, he can’t defend himself, which is why he’ll be attacked. Jerry Sandusky is going to prison, where he belongs.

Four of the most powerful people at The Pennsylvania State University – President Graham B. Spanier, Senior Vice President‐Finance and Business Gary C. Schultz, Athletic Director Timothy M. Curley and Head Football Coach Joseph V. Paterno – failed to protect against a child sexual predator harming children for over a decade. These men concealed Sandusky’s activities from the Board of Trustees, the University community and authorities. They exhibited a striking lack of empathy for Sandusky’s victims by failing to inquire as to their safety and well‐being, especially by not attempting to determine the identity of the child who Sandusky assaulted in the Lasch Building in 2001. Further, they exposed this child to additional harm by alerting Sandusky, who was the only one who knew the child’s identity, of what McQueary saw in the shower on the night of February 9, 2001.

Still think that there's only one criminal ?
The Pennsylvania State University’s football program won’t be shut down. The football program didn’t molest the children, the former coach did. Jerry Sandusky met the children through a charity.
Jerry Sandusky was correctly found guilty and will go to prison.
II. Findings
Our most saddening and sobering finding is the total disregard for the safety and welfare of Sandusky’s child victims by the most senior leaders at Penn State.
The most powerful men at Penn State failed to take any steps for 14 years to protect the children who Sandusky victimized.
Messrs. Spanier, Schultz, Paterno and Curley never demonstrated, through actions or words, any concern for the safety and well-being of Sandusky’s victims until after Sandusky’s arrest.
The criminal is Jerry Sandusky. He’s going to prison, HE molested those children and was found guilty.
I could be mistaken, but Graham Spanier and Gary Schultz are under indictment? Or being charged? Or some legal procedure. Maybe they too will be found guilty. If so, then they go to prison, too.
Joseph Paterno is dead and buried.
Jerry Sandusky is going to prison. HE is the criminal. HE molested those children.
1. Joe was saving the football program and the integrity of the school.
2. Joe was protecting his son Jay in hopes that he would get the head coaching job.
BTW Sue Paterno knew everything.

As I said, molest one child once, shame on you. Molest several children several times over a decade, and shame on you and all your "friends".
Of course there will be lawsuits.
I suspect most of them will be settled to avoid lengthy trials.
I have a difficult time believing that knowledge of these actions were limited to only the PSU family.
As pointed out by Freepers before, how is it that Sandusky, who retired from coaching at a fairly young age, apparently didn’t receive any offers to coach from other institutions?
