Pride can be a powerful force....the people you speak of are in a state of euphoria dreaming of what once was. California is in the throws of socialism of which the majority are still in favor of. I pray there are enough sane people left to turn it around but I see no signs of an effort even at this late point in time!!

I used to carpool with a guy who would fight you to the death that California was the greatest state ever. Needless to say, we didn’t get along too good when it came to politics.
