Via Business Insider, your feelgood video of the day. Think of it as a companion piece to Gallups new poll showing the steep decline in respect for the media over the past 20 years. Shes out to prove that Romneys the real offshorer-in-chief despite ample evidence to the contrary; Sununus having none of it, and her reaction is so feeble that he cant help but giggle. I dont think hes laughing to spite her either; hes genuinely tickled by the transparency of the game being played. You can afford to laugh, I guess, when confidence in television news stands at a robust 21 percent nationally.
Question: Does Team Mitts offshoring counterattack have a real chance of sticking to The One? I like it a lot and Os not the only prominent Democrat whos vulnerable on this point but I suspect that stereotypes, partisan and otherwise, will make it a bigger electoral liability for Romney than O. The caricature of offshoring involves rich corporate execs sending blue-collar jobs overseas to pad their bank accounts. Its unfair to Romney, but hes closer to that caricature than Obama is. Which is not to say he shouldnt push back, though: Pointing out The Ones offshoring practices is a way to blunt and muddle the Democratic attack. Especially since some people on their own side arent thrilled with Obamas record on this either.
” - - - Wow. She simply fell apart when faced with the truth.”
Andrea needs to take some lying acting lessons from her Husband Alan Greenspan.
And based on how she reports the news, not very well as she stumbles with her words, she probably slept her way to the top in the news business.
For the video impaired:
ANDREA MITCHELL: Isn’t it a winning issue for the White House fundamentally, granted that the Politifact folks and the Washington Post pointed out that the President’s campaign ad on that issue had a lot, a lot of questions and a lot of questionable attack lines...
JOHN SUNUNU: No, they said it was wrong. A lot of questions is not right. It was wrong.
MITCHELL: Okay, if, but the point is that doesnt, isn’t Mitt Romney more vulnerable than the President on this issue because there still is, the whole question of private equity of outsourcing? You could argue about when he left Bain Capital, and, you know, whether he was still getting money from Bain Capital and what some of the companies in Bain were doing, companies that did end up working overseas and sending jobs overseas.
SUNUNU: [Laughs]
MITCHELL But isn’t it a bigger problem for Republicans than for the White House?
SUNUNU: No. When you’ve sent $500 million to Fisker and it goes to Finland immediately. When you send the solar money and it goes to Mexico. When you send the turbine money and it goes to Denmark. And we can go on all day. There is $29 billion worth of purchases that came out of this administration, outsourced jobs to foreign countries. Mitt Romney outsourced zero. Obama outsourced 29 billion
MITCHELL: Zero?
SUNUNU: Zero. He wasn’t there when those issues came up.
MITCHELL: Well, first of all
SUNUNU: [Laughs]
MITCHELL: the $29 billion are not all outsourced from the administration because...
SUNUNU: Sure they are.
MITCHELL: A lot of those jobs still remained here. There are jobs, when you do a grant, Governor, there are jobs here as well as overseas.
SUNUNU: [Laughs] You’re struggling, Andrea. You’re struggling. [Laughs]
MITCHELL: Well, first of all
SUNUNU: [Still laughing]
MITCHELL: these are competing claims and we will get back to you with all of the numbers.
SUNUNU: Sure.
This video is too funny. Andrea might as well get out her pom poms and do a cheer for Obama.
That was a beautiful piece of work. Sununu did great.
Sununus my ‘hero of the day’...
The state run media is going to get tired of being blindsided with the truth about that skidmark.
She hasn't been a wench for 50 years.
A witch maybe.
Lucky for Andrea, no one really watches that shitty channel that she is on.
That woman has the IQ of a potted plant.
I’ve never seen her before.
You forget to add the stammering....
Ms Mitchell just confirmed her place in the idiots hall of fame.
LOL. Priceless.
There’s about 20 more seconds of the exchange on the clip posted there.
That was a lot of fun to watch...would have been even more fun if we had a better candidate, but I’ll take it.
Got a youtube link? I don’t get a working video at hot air.
By the way, Andrea...how are you enjoying Sarah Palin’s retirement from political life?
See post above you. Good stuff. A water carrier stumbling and bumbling while getting laughed at. Priceless.
