I thought that the 2008 election was hideous. Little did I know.

At least in 2008 we didn't have folks here on FR actively campaigning against the GOP nominee and doing so using unreasonable, dishonest, and abusive means.

McCain wasn’t who we wanted.
We wanted a conservative, not a Rino.
But, we held our nose and supported him.
And for WHAT exactly?
To get knifed in the back.
By the GOP.
This sparked off the beginnings of the TEA party.
[Which stands for Taxed Enough Already by the way.]
That all started.. why, here on FR pretty much.

So here we are, four years later, with yet another RINO candiddate, only this guy holds the same positions that Obama does on guns, homo marriage, and individual mandates.
And you expect what to happen?

I certainly was against McCaint all the way along - and I think you forget rabscuttle385 and pissant (with their fellows) too quickly. There was always dissent against McCain. Loud and sustained. It's just that the Republican fanbois were too wrapped up in themselves to see the truth of it.
