Actually, I don’t know anyone from FreeRepublic. I enjoy reading the forums here, I post when I feel like it, which isn’t often and that’s about it. I lurked for many years before deciding to post. I have an opinion and I realize that many of the neanderthals in this country really don’t want a female to have opinions. Oh well. I’m happy living here in the Pittsburgh area and now that the Pirates have actually decided to play baseball, it’s kinda fun reading the sports pages when training camp isn’t open.

Offer an opinion departing from the house dogma, no matter how modestly and politely stated, and you immediately get swarmed with attacks and accusations.
It has all become rather cult-like.
I keep hoping for a turning-away from this path of close-mindedness and isolation, but it remains just a hope so far.
Not buying any of what you’re selling here tonight. Something is just wrong about what you are saying about yourself and what you enjoy reading here on FR. Just doesn’t quite ring true. At the least, it’s unconvincing.
