Obama has been overruling Congress anyway. If we elect conservatives to Congress, he will just go over them. There is no chance Obama would ever go along with a conservative Congress. Especially since He can’t be re-elected. With Romney, we at least have the chance to have someone that will go along with a conservative Congress.

You've got it backwards. A 'conservative' Congress will roll over for the guy in the White House because he's the boss of their party.

On the other hand, that same Congress would fight the other side's boss tooth and nail.

Art of War 101.

You are contradicting yourself here. You say you won’t vote Romney because he is not a conservative and won’t adhere to conservative principles. Instead you will vote for conservatives to congress. These same conservatives you are putting your support behind, you then say, will not vote conservative and go along with Romney? Isn’t that the reason you aren’t voting for Romney to begin with? Because he won’t adhere to conservative values? But yet you put your support behind conservatives in congress that you say will fold against Romney? Interesting.

Whoever said I thought Romney was going to win?

You say you will not vote for President, but will elect conservatives to the local level and congress. You are electing them b/c they will stand up for conservative principles. But then you said in your previous post, that those same peope in congress. The ones you are voting for, would go along with Romney’s liberalism throwing their conservatism to the side.

These are the same peope (the ones you claim to be voting for, the conservatives) that you expect to stand up to Obama and stick to conservative principles.

Now tell me how that works. You either have conservatives that give up their conservatism to support Romney (which is the reason you give for not voting for Romney). Or the same conservatives that will stick to their guns and fight Obama.

Makes no sense.

Who do you expect a conservative to vote for on the down ticket - liberals? Like Romney? Not a chance.

Listen, I'm not expecting perfection from a Republican dominated Congress. That's part of the point I was making. I've got no illusions that we're going to elect enough solid conservatives to Congress, that they'll be able to outmaneuver and overcome the RINOs in their midst, and thwart the will of a liberal Republican president.

I fully expect the good hats to be outnumbered by the black hats, which is why I said that a Republican dominated Congress will roll over for their 'boss'. We're not talking about conservatives here. We're talking about Republicans, who come in all shapes, sizes, and flavors of big government, statist, liberal.

That being the probable reality, come 2013, all I can do is my part, which is ONLY voting for those who've got the best documented, conservative track records.

We're going to have a whole 'nother kind of conservative, patriot resistance, if Romney's elected. I can almost guarantee you that Tea Party conservatives are going to be as opposed to his administration, as they have been to Obama's, because there isn't a dime's worth of difference between them.

I agree with that and I believe that they should hold every President accountable. Even the most conservative one should have a watchful eye on them. But I'd rather get rid of a President that ignores ALL conservatism and has no chance of listening (and actually illegally goes over top of conservatism) and have one that could be swayed or limited on what he does with his policies.

Only fantasies I see is that Romney is a conservative and that he will win.
