There have been lots of alternative sites and they have always been started by people who were, first, devastated and then embittered. I've been invited to all of them. I understand the hurt behind them, but I've never been discouraged enough to abandon FR.
I love BobJ. He and Jim were like brothers and he was one of my first friends here before people had to register to post. I guess I was out of the country when they fell out and it looks to be permanent. I can't believe things have degenerated like this.
It seems to me that things degenerated because people can’t A: follow site rules, B: think they have ‘freedom of speech’ on a privately owned website and C: think their donations or mere presence allows them to call the shots over what goes on here.
And then someone like you comes along complaining that the poor and downtrodden are somehow justified in their actions.
It’s simple. Just like a bar or business club or any other group. You stay because you want to and follow the rules. Or you don’t.
But acting like catty schoolgirls here, on TBL or anywhere else is anything but adult, rational or likely to get people what they want.

Have you been to TBL? It is hostile to this site, its owner and members. BobJ and Jim may have been like brothers, but only if those brothers were Cain and Abel.
TBL is vile. Its purpose is destructive.
BobJ has been a pox and a blight upon every forum he has been on.
Clownposse?
Check.
Did they turn on him after awhile.
Check.
Has he changed his ways or had a change of heart against us?
Negatron, not happening.
And maybe not ever!
His vitriol against Jim is beyond excusing.
And his behavior towards posters here is just as bad.
If I had my way, he’d have permanent office space on a lighted buoy in the East River as a fog warning horn!
