I’m with you there. It is rare for his site to be following a story that changes every 30 seconds; he ought to up the auto-refresh time to a couple of minutes unless something major is going down. It makes it easier to read. However, I do have to wonder (not a web coder) if the constant refresh ups his page hits?

The only reason for the auto refresh is to increase the number of ads delivered to your screen, which is how Drudge makes his money. The refresh rate now seems to be every 3 minutes, I believe it used to be every 5 minutes.

I block the ads so I never see them anyway, on those rare occasions when I go to that site.
