You have absolutely no way of knowing whether this happened.
Two people were there, one is dead, and the other described it differently.
Zimmerman was out of the SUV.
Why did he get out?
What do you think he did when he got out?
Walk the other way?
Frankly I think the hanging judge is being too hard on Zimmerman. I believe he merits a lower bail and was abused by keeping him in jail for so long without bond.
But that said, he still did a stupid thing.
