Move if you can. Prepare for hell if you can't.
Don't live on fault lines, or among unstable mixed populationss.
Got that covered nicely. Many people in their desire to be PC, or in pretending to take the “high road”, won’t acknowledge that cube until their deaths.
How many times have we preached [posted ] that on this forum. To wit: If you live in a mixed or unstable neighborhood— Move. If you only get to take the clothes on your back and your life, that is more than you will have if you choose to stay. Because when it goes, it is going quick and it is going violent.
That cube illustrates something I’ve been thinking about for a while. I read one time that traffic engineers have a term for patterns where there is very slow traffic and very fast traffic. They call it “friction”. I think of this when I drive to work at 6:00 in the morning through downtown and see “zombies” roaming the streets. A half block down the road I’ll see a yuppie out for thier morning jog. The contrasts could not be any more different. Every time I see this I think, “one day this will not end well”. “Friction” is what this looks like to me.
Unfortunately moving, for a variety of reasons, is not an option for me. I am well armed any time I leave my house, and I am prepped about as well as I can be for my situation.
I’ve told you before but I’ll tell you again, I really enjoyed your books.
