Thank you, FRiend, for sharing this with us. This is the first thing from you I have seen in a while. I am grateful that you are still with us!!

As is typical of human beings, we Americans are often unconcerned about the struggles, tragedies, and heroism of other humans in distant places. Thank you for reminding us that other good people also suffer nature's wrath -- and behave heroically to rescue strangers.

I will be praying for those distressed people in Russia...
