4th grade granddaughter: What are Founding Fathers?
Me: Who did we win our Independence from?
4th grade granddaughter: The Irish?
Me: Do they still teach history in school?
4th grade granddaughter: Yes, in Social Studies.
Obviously we have a lot of work to do. I just spent an hour giving her a lesson on our Founding.
