I was debating about 1913, but since that was when my mom was born, I went with ‘35 and the rise of FDR and the worldwide craze for socialism.

(Speaking of which, I now pay more for other people’s gas and electric {low income assistance fee} than I do for my own useage).

Yeah...at least you can say the majority of people rejected gov’t spending in the 20’s.

A lot of people debate when America "Jumped the Shark." Some say with the loss of the South in 1865, others say the 1913/16 period with income tax and the popular election of Senators, some say FDR or even LBJ. Some even say 2008 when we got Baraq. Well, maybe we jumped several times, it could be. All I can say is during the days up to the Supreme Court decision on Commie Care, the sound of the twin Evenrudes was deafening and I saw Fonzie putting on his water skis as we saw the dorsal fin of the shark swimming about. June 28th, 2012, for sure, is our Shark Jumping moment.
