Hiya trisham, Jim, STAR, RedMDer, LJ, TOL, Deo,Gunner, everyone!
Jordie and I got stuck at the Outlet Mall yesterday afternoon shortly after 5:00PM when the worst flash flood (t-storm) in 12 years hit this city, so we cooled our heels by eating at the Sushi Place until it passed. Little did we imagine that our power at the house we be out upon arriving home. Only 620 homes lost power. Our neighbors told us, our power lines looked like firework sparklers.
Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. It was one miserable night with nothing to do, but fortunately, not very hot, thanks to the rain. Almost 24 hours without power, but luckily, by leaving the doors to the freezer and refrigerator shut, nothing spoiled, not even the ice in the ice maker. We count our small blessings. Both are filled with food.
Wow! You were lucky not to have anything spoil. That can add up very quickly. Not to mention, stink like crazy. :)
Must have been miserable, but I’m glad you all are OK, and don’t have to re-stock the fridge!
What kinda food? We’ll be right over :)
