That is certainly the situation today. No soldier would obey an order to shoot American citizens over an issue like this.

I dont anybody thirty years ago envisioned LEO’s shooting innocent civilians merely for being suspected criminal activity, but not confirmed.
So i honestly dont know if the military thirty years from now will have the same loyalty to the American people as they do now.
