Oops. It is spelled “flout” not “flaut.” But certainly not “flaunt.”

And yet the one thing that he did do was to apologize to the Martin family for shooting their son, allbeit in self defense.

The thing that bothered me about that apology is that Zimmerman said he thought Martin was close to his age and wasn't sure if he was armed or not.

But in the non-911 call Zimmerman told the call taker that the suspect looked to be in his late teens ... too young to possess a CCW in Florida.

Yes, and we all know no one would EVER carry a gun/weapon without the proper licenses.

Yeah, I knew when I posted that comment someone would only comment on the gun part.

Can you explain why Zimmerman said Martin appeared to be in his teens when speaking to the non-emergency call taker ...

then stated in court that Martin appeared to be close to his age?

Why would he add 10 +/- years?

Yep, and I was right!

So why would Zimmerman add about 10 years to Martin’s age when he made his apology in court?

So what??? what advantage does he gain either way??? It's just the rendering of opinion that may change over time.

It's more than likely that GZ at 28 still thinks of himself as 20 or 22.

It's also likely that his initial opinion to the dispatcher's question was that Martin was in his late teens. But that opinion changed as he was being beaten, feeling that the person doing so must be older and more experienced at beating the crap out of another person than a mere teenager.

and wasn't sure if he was armed or not ... too young to possess a CCW in Florida.

He told the dispatcher that TM was holding his hands in his pants so he couldn't see what he had in them. A can of juice can be a weapon and may have been used on the back of GZ's head. And so can the fists of a MMA street club fighter. Martin did not need a gun to kill anyone -- just his fists and the sidewalk.

I don't know; seems utterly irrelevant to me.

Why don't you tell us what YOU think it means?

Well, one ‘advantage’ is to make it appear that the confrontation was against an equal ... not a child. As the judge pointed out, the only youth was Martin.

And yes, Zimmerman’s opinions may change over time ... his stories have.

If Zimmerman still thinks he’s 20 or 22, he needs a reality check. He’s closer to 30 or 32.

Do you really believe the can was used as a weapon? It would have been dented at the very least or, more likely, it would have burst open. BTW, none of Zimmerman’s blood/DNA was found on Martin.

Haasaaaa. In his statement he accurately identified TM as being between 5'11" and 6"2" -- much bigger than the 5'7.5" slow and obese person that he knew himself to be. And after running about 100 feet, he was nearly out of breath.

Anyone with half a brain would have put their money on TM in any kind of fight or race.

not a child

Haaaaaa. At 17 and a fight club veteran who had been suspended from school for mj possession, possible theft, and punching a bus driver, the hoodie in that 7-Eleven video was hardly a "child".

As the judge pointed out, the only youth was Martin.

A 17 y/o teenager who had been kicked out of school and and a possible jv record, a known mj user that his parents couldn't control, and staying with a juvenile detention officer who didn't want him in her house unsupervised.

And yes, Zimmerman’s opinions may change over time ... his stories have.

His story lines up with the forensic evidence, the medical reports, and the witnesses. Since those things haven't changed, then how can you say that his story has????

If Zimmerman still thinks he’s 20 or 22, he needs a reality check. He’s closer to 30 or 32.

I think he has been getting his reality check since that night.

Do you really believe the can was used as a weapon?

Look at the one gash on the back of his head. You can fit the upper edge of the can right into it. It's hard to imagine that happening from the sidewalk.

It would have been dented at the very least or, more likely, it would have burst open.

Not if you hit with that upper edge which is hard and sharp and can create a gash like on his head and his upper nose. Remember GZ said he thought TM had something in his hand when being hit -- phone or can.

BTW, none of Zimmerman’s blood/DNA was found on Martin.

GZ's blood was on the sleeves of TM's hoodie. I don't think they tested his hands for either so why should find something that they didn't test for. You need to watch some better videos and stay off of you tube.

Three men in Brazos county have been arrested for shooting and wounding an ICE agent. They followed him around at night with their headlights turned off then shot him. I am sure this was self defense and you would want to know so you could sent them some money. We certainly would not want them to spend their own money on bail or attys...let them keep their money for “living expenses”and the tax payers would be pleased to pay bail and atty fees. This also would fall under Stand Your Ground. Don’t you think?

I think you have it backwards. The three men ambushing an ICE agent doing his job is equivalent to Trayvon Martin doubling back, lying in wait, and ambushing a neighborhood watchman doing his job. Don't you think???

Of course you are right! This farce was created simply because the Al and Jesse whiners couldn’t stand the Zimmermans not being destroyed financially. It isn’t FAIR, don’t you know for them to have all that money when the Martins don’t. Case closed.

With seemingly every black person and his/her uncle and aunt piling on for Trayvon, surely the Martin family is not doing too shabbily at this juncture either? (Besides being missing a very badly behaved boy.)

The only difference here is the three men did not have a 911 operator telling them to not follow the agent.
