Well, has anyone else noticed that the frequency of identity theft via stolen social security numbers used to file tax returns and obtain fraudulent refunds is up 5-fold during the Obama presidency? I am one of the victims.

I am so sick of the corruption in this administration ... It is much worse than any other administration!!

The number of SS numbers lost via hacking is astounding. Those numbers are in the tens of millions. There are other methods employed also. I have stopped giving and using as verification the last four digits of my SS with anyone requesting those last four digits. I offer that person requesting that information an affidavit to sign stating they will take all responsibility for the theft from their company of SS numbers. I have had no takers, therefore I do not give the last four digits to those requesting that information.

Can you explain? (without personal details, of course) How did this happen? How did you find out about it? What did you do about it? Has the case been solved yet? What were the ramifications to you and your family? I'm not being nosy, I just want to know how to prevent this from happening to my family.
