CORPUS CHRISTI - CCPD confirmed late Monday that Sue Farenthold, the sister of Congressman Blake Farenthold, had been taken to jail on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
That charge typically includes cocaine, heroin, methamphetime, and other drugs more serious than marijuana.
Flashbangs were used while authorities were searching for a known gang member and narcotics inside the home in the 5000 block of Cape Romain in South Shore Estates area.
SWAT officers, drug officers, and US Marshals went out to the house around 2:15pm Monday.
Police had received word that there were drugs and weapons inside and obtained a warrant.
Officers say they knew someone was home at the time and tried calling a house phone, but no one answered.
Authorities then used a public address system, but still no one came out. So they used tear gas and four people came out, three men and Sue Farenthold, who resides at the home.
Police later said they found methamphetamine inside the home, along with at least two guns and assault rifle ammunition.
There was also a brown substance seized which wasn’t identified at the scene.
Police arrested Sue Farenthold, 48, Michael Wayne, 49, Jesus Juarez, 38, and Johnny Reynolds, 40, on charges if possession of a controlled substance. Reynolds is also charged for an outstanding warrant and for failing to identify himself to authorities.
Congressman Farenthold released the following statement on the incident late Monday afternoon:
“I am saddened to learn the terrible news of the situation unfolding around my sister. Tragedy has occurred in my family in the past, and I am saddened it has happened again. I trust that law enforcement officials are doing their job and I support them carrying out their duty, regardless of where it takes them. I love my sister and ask for your prayers for her and the rest of my family as we work through this very difficult time..”

WTF! Typical liberal reporting.
Well we're all safer now that this deadly ammunition is off the streets. What kind of crazy reporting is this?
Perhaps it is related to F&F, what with his sister holding assault rifle ammo.
Gearing up for Breaking Bad, season 4.
Oh My God!
I am sure relieved that the entire community did not die from that there assault rifle ammunition.
There was also a brown substance seized which wasnt identified at the scene.
They should try identifying it by smell. Lots of brown substance is produced in circumstances like these.
