ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. Its on his to-do list, but U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says the odds are against repealing the health care law championed by President Barack Obama.
The Kentucky Republican said Monday its hard to unravel something of the magnitude of the 2,700-page health care law, WHAS-TV (http://bit.ly/LSUtqX ) reports.
If you thought it was a good idea for the federal government to go in this direction, Id say the odds are still on your side, McConnell said. Because its a lot harder to undo something than it is to stop it in the first place.

I sure didn’t.
Attention all Hobbitts, time to go Bilbo Baggins or Frodo on Mordor.
No McConnel isn’t whimping out, McConnel wanted the HC law passed, helped the democrats to pass it, and during the lame duck session he gave Obama and the democrats everything they wanted.
IOW - He is a died in the wool socialist pretending to be a republican, he and Roberts are of the same cloth, communists.
I hate em all
BS. Romney is going to get slaughtered. He’s feckless and a liar of epic proportions. STOP listening to the pundits. This election isn’t going to be close and you can thank Rove & Co for that. In the true swing states, not that idiot list that came out today, Romney is down by 8. He is getting hammered.
Vote McConnell out.
When I am anointed King this turd will walk the steps.
Then, Mr. McConnell, with a no can do attitude, please step aside. Take with you your like-minded senators who have also forgotten the oaths you swore to the Constitution and the People to who you exist to serve. Let those who care about the future of this country do the duty you all have willingly failed to do. We the People will continue to vote out the elitists who think they are our masters. I'm truly disgusted what this country has become and progressed to under such 'leadership' as yours and other elitists like you.

Has any FReeper done this in the past?
“it should be easy to repeal...”
Yes it should. As much as I despise Pelousi it is fairly evident that we don’t have any leaders that have her political savvy or are as evil as she is.
It will be hard to repeal.
Especially with guys like McConnell on the job. :)
Try this, McConnell, you emasculate wonder: “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.”
If I agree with him, then I guess it doesn’t matter who wins either the presidential race OR the congressional races... and this pansy ass would be the presumptive majority leader?
We are so screwed.
Wow! That was fast. They have already started going wobbly. I expected them to hold atleast until after the election.
Does he think we rubes on the right side don’t know how hard it is to fight to repeal? Sure glad he was not the leader in charge at Alamos (Alamos may be a bad example, but you get the idea).
Why is he still worthy of a ‘leadership’ role?
McConnell has made sure that he is exempt from Obamacare. The rest of us are unimportant.
Mitch, if the job is too hard for you, please pass the leadership job to someone who has the required capabilities. We don’t have time for incompetent squishes not taking care of business.
I’m ready to go Eowyn on the Witch King of Angmar and the Fell Beast he rode in on.
Why is this guy in a position of leadership? He needs to be gone!
The “chinless wonder” strikes, again. “Turtle, turtle.”
“Is McConnell wimping out?”
In his own mind he fights the good fight everyday by just showing up and keeping his suit neatly pressed all day. Mediocre is okay for Mitch.
Contrast with Pelosi, Reid, Hoyer, Schumer, and the Clintons who define a bad day as one they don’t draw blood from the other side.
Some people do whatever it takes to win, some forfeit the game by not even suiting up. This explains the current state of the nation.
Don’t expect Romney, McCain, Rubio, Boehner, the Bush family and the rest of the Republican elites to change. They are what they are. We can hope all we want, but they will never change. After all, they know what is good for us and don’t need to be told.
