Conservative interest in the presidential election hit “stratospheric levels” following last week’s Supreme Court ruling upholding Obamacare, noted pollster and author Scott Rasmussen tells Newsmax.TV.
“All that did was energize conservatives,” declared Rasmussen in an exclusive interview on Monday. “The conservative interest in the election was already much higher than that of moderates and liberals. While I understand your point of view, and may do the same as you in the voting booth, I would do so with an awareness of the danger of voting for a “Republican” who has liberal tendencies. I am thinking of our recent experience with Bush Jr., who pushed through a socialist, unfunded prescription drug program, who oversaw a massive increase in spending and national debt which fellow “Republicans” happily went along with. At least with Obama, these same Republicans are not following his lead. Not to mention when Bush decided to ignore the Bill of Rights and started locking up people without notifying them of the charges against them, no rights to a lawyer, no rights to hear the testimony against them, no rights to a trial, for so long as he liked. This was supported by many “Republicans” and indeed was supported by most of the “conservative” Supreme Court members.
Romney's not perfect, and we don't have time to find a perfect candidate. Romney is the official option we have, and we must not waste our vote. This is but a first step in returning this country to the Constitution, liberty and freedom. It will be our job to ride Romney's rear end and make sure he follows the will of the people. We must remove oboma, who will put his jackboot on our necks and go full throttle commie/socialist on us as dictator, and you will know how oppressed peoples in China, Korea, Cuba exist from day to day.
Romney is NO COMMUNIST/SOCIALIST. This is the big difference. Do not sit home and not vote. Do not dilute the vote. Soldiers in wars past fought and died so that we may be free. They understood who their enemy was, and they fought shoulder to shoulder, until they won the war. Let not their sacrifice for our freedom have been for naught.

I don't know to what extent Romney believes in abortion, BUT, I do know who and what OBOMA is, and he is the greatest, the bigger threat to this country. He is the enemy that will swiftly put his jackboot on our necks and oppress us with full socialist force if he is allowed to rule as dictator. True. America may be doomed. And it makes me incredibly sad, not least because we are squandering, wantonly and rapidly, what many gave their lives for. I fear that the people in power are doing pretty much all they can to show God their contempt for Him.

BTW, Mitch McConnell was being interviewed last week, and I was happy to hear somebody FINALLY use the term “lawsuit reform” instead of “tort reform”. People understand “lawsuit”, but “tort”... not so much.

Shooting our own. How productive is that? One of the reasons the Founders enshrined free political speech is thats how we think together as a people, thats how American brilliance works. I don’t think this problem we have will be fixed by any single event. It isn’t just about the presidency. It about how we let it get this far. It will happen all over again if we don’t reassert our control and the principles that inform it. This is not a drill. We need each other, as brother and sister freedom lovers, to get through this.
