"Everyone is focusing on the mandate, but they fail to see the ramifications of other provisions such as the establishment of religion through the exemption clause."

Good point. Isn't this bill like 2700 separate laws bundled together as one law?

Mark Levin: absolutely lawless. . . a brutal assault on individual sovereignty.

Only 51 Senators are needed to offload this thing. We conservatives need to first concentrate on regaining the Senate and defeating Obama Those are entirely doable.

After spending yesterday in a funk, I was encouraged to see the so-called “bounce” for Obama on the heels of the USSC ruling has come and gone.

Let`s push to get the pro-Obamacare thugs out of office. That`s Job One. If there`s nothing else Roberts has done, it`s much more clearly defined the issue. It`s a ****ing TAX, and GOPers need to make that point succinctly and clearly.. that they will push to repeal it.

Chief Justice moved beyond role of Constitutional interpreter to playing King Solomon. In the immediate term, this is a further defeat for Constitutional law. Even if Roberts had voted with the minority, it does not solve the political strife that brought us to this point.

As we move forward in the next 4 months, if the GOP cannot take the side benefits of this decision to political victory, we deserve to go down. Roberts’ decision will always be viewed as political, but he is correct that Obamacare is a beast born of politics and can only be killed by politics.

After we deal with our outrage over the decision, we have to embrace the opportunity that this decision and the Wisconsin recall defeat (victory for conservatives) brings to us. Either we fight and defeat liberalism, or we go down to defeat as a nation and a culture. Roberts and the Left of the court may be the near-term villains, but we always need a villain to kick us into action.

it is my firm belief that the Roberts' decision on the Obamacare mandate will without question bring about ultimate doom

What will doom Obamacare is the bankruptcy of the US because of Obamacare. Then we'll want Greece to bail us out.

Thank you for the link, and for the warning. I like Levin and downloaded for listening later... too bummed for our country right now even though it’s a beautiful morning.

the Roberts' decision on the Obamacare mandate will without question bring about ultimate doom to the government control of healthcare

Ok, let's see if I understand; We traded the immediate end of ObamaCare now for "ultimate doom" of ObamaCare at some unspecified point in the future... which is way better.

Justice Roberts just expanded the tax power to absurd and unprecedented levels. Congress now has the power to inflict on every individual American any sort of regulatory penalty it pleases, so long as it calls it a tax and has the IRS collect it. It’s an outrageous power grab by the feds.

Jhon Roberts is a POS lowlife fascist, he represents to lowest of pretenders. While pretending to support the US Constitution he betrays it at the very time he needed to stand tall.

We cannot allow this law to stand and we must be sure that no Bush is ever in the WH again.

I have no respect for the SCOTUS whatsoever, they are every bit as corrupt as the US COngress.

“We have to remove the trash...”

As if we weren’t already working on that? So, what? Roberts decision means we have to keep doing what we were doing? Great.... thanks John.

>>> Good point. Isn’t this bill like 2700 separate laws bundled together as one law?

yes... and it’s worse than that... because an extraordinary amount of power is vested in the secretary of human services. Most of which is entirely discretionary and intentionally vague.

The intent again is to OVERLOAD the system.

While most of it is truly unconstitutional, there is so much of it to fight that you cannot fight any of it.

That is why SCOTUS MUST RE-HEAR this and deal with it properly. Otherwise, the entire law stands by fiat.

I’ll put it this way. When Robert’s changed the dominate definition in the law after-the-fact he made all our laws look irrelevant. There are many criminals, including the Administration, who would like their bank robbing charges, that led to prosecutions, to be changed after-the-fact to unauthorized withdrawals on appeal. We all know that will never happen and likewise he never should he have changed the definition. Nothing makes it or Roberts right.

He set precedent.

You're right, Justice Roberts set precedent, but he did so by ignoring precedent. As is evident from this decision and about every liberal decision of the past 75 years, only conservatives care about precedent. Liberals are busy making a revolution and precedent is their enemy, at least usually. So, precedent is not binding on liberal justices. Conservatives have to start playing by the same rules. There is no stare decisis now, there is only the brute force of a 5-4 vote. Constitution? Without stare decisis, it's a dead letter. We need to accept this terrible fact.

Seems to me that the “conservative” intelligentsia really aren’t that intelligent.

If they were they would have figured out forty-eight hours ago that no one is buying this claptrap.

But no, it just keeps on coming.

It’s a pretty good bet that anyone trying to paint a smiley face on the Roberts court decision is little more than a Republican cheerleader.

With only 51 needed the to repeal the disastrous 0bamacare it is indeed possible, and yes we have to concentrate to take the Senate back, which is absolutely necessary. I prefer the super majority. While it is true that we only need 51 votes for the repeal, the other 9 might come in handy some other times.

All in all your post is very well said
