Roberts played the long game, in my opinion.

And you condone such judicial gamesmanship? I thought a SC justice was supposed to decide whether or not a law was repugnant to the Constitution.

He should be if he was IMPEACHED

Good stinkin' luck with that. Even if he were impeached, it would be a waste of time and the backlash would be damaging to the Right.

I am still meditating on the "Happening"

I wanted it all killed!

But taking away the commerce clause has some merit.

And if it helps defeat Obama...then that should help.

Thta is part of the problem only the right cares about backlash. So they never accomplish anything!

Roberts put a fork into the Constitution and declared it dead.< /i>

There is value in that statement. Roberts can declare it dead, but The Constitution is on life support and it Obama retains his office, there will funeral on November 7.

But taking away the commerce clause has some merit.

But we're still stuck with the Raich precedent, about which Thomas concluded in his dissent - "the Federal Government is no longer one of limited and enumerated powers." At best, the so-called Commerce Clause 'victory' means that the line was not expanded beyond Raich. Everything in Obamacare - except the mandate - is allowed under current Commerce Clause case law. It's about the hollowest victory I can imagine.

Perhaps we can all conclude that it is not possible to defeat obozocare in court -
had Roberts ruled it unconstitutional, do you honestly think it will matter? Obozo and gang will have Roberts to blame in addition to the Rs and Bush, and fan his obots into a frenzy to steal the election again. The ruling will have no effect in future lawsuits because the court will be filled with obzozo’s appointees!
The only way to remove obozocare is to remove obozo.
Keep the ultimate goal in mind as we act.
It should come as no surprise that Roberts rules in favor of obozocare. Haven’t we witnessed all the judges ruling in favor of obozo eligibility even when they failed to show up for the hearing?
At least Roberts gives them tremendous headache in having to explain it is not a tax - they are still insisting that it is not a tax! They don’t want people to think it is a tax! They are still arguing with the CJ even tho he rules in their favor!
There is no way to win except to vote out the d*** usurper.
Take this as the biggest incentive to vote them out!
OR do not complain when obozo stays in power and gives you more Roberts!

OK enough argument about what Roberts has done and whether he is right or wrong. No amount of yelling/complaining will get rid of him or obozo or his gang.
VOTE OUT OBOZO AND the blood supply to his czars and agencies will be cut off! And the supreme will not have to rule on so much unconstitutional legislation!

The Commerce Clause was not touched at all. Mark Levin clearly explained in great detail why the Commerce Clause was not effected in any way.

That is an outright lie being spread by elitist fake Conservatives like Charles K and others.
