For me, this is the GOP's last chance. If they blow this, I will happily work to turn the Tea Party into a true political party that will do what they say and send the GOP to the scrap heap of history.

Why wait? The GOPe doesn't have a problem sending US to history's scrap heap.

Why else would they keep voting for a bigger and bigger, more and more powerful Federal Government, with more ABC agencies, each with ever more intrusive power, every time they have power?

They've been infected. The only thing they understand is the threat of losing their jobs, so the TEA party is the only thing that scares them.
