IDK what insurance costs in most of the US, but in several states that have had most of the ACA provisions already set as state law, such as NJ/NY/MA , a 30 year old single male will be spending ~$190/month for barebones ObamaCare with Rx, and ~$235/month for ObamaCare Plus with Rx.

The penalty fees are definitely the way to go for healthy younger people since you can no longer be denied for pre existing conditions and you can sign up AFTER you fall ill/get sick.

Pay for an annual check up out of pocket, pay the IRS penalty, in 2016 that’ll be like ~$950ish if the checkup doesn’t perform too many blood tests.

I sure as hell am not paying for abortion and contraception. Obama can arrest me all he likes, I’m still not paying for it.

I was on an HMO through my company that was running me close to $200 a month two years ago... your figures of $190/$235 are low, I believe.

And, what is with this, barebones or plus? Different classes of coverage, funny.
